Government respects merit, Ilma got appointment out of turn

The spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh government has said that the government fully respects merit. Eligible and hardworking officers are being promoted in the state. As far as IPS officer Ilma Afroz is concerned, the government had appointed her out of turn as SP Baddi. Her batch was not running yet, despite this she was given the command of an important police district like Baddi ten months ago. IPS officer Afroz has gone on leave citing family reasons.

The spokesperson said that the reply to the letter written by former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar to the Chief Minister has been given through a letter. Before going on leave, Afroz met the Chief Minister in Shimla along with her mother. She had said that she was going on leave citing her mother’s ill health. Various rumours are being spread on social media regarding her leave. The lies being spread on social media are contrary to facts. The IPS officer has gone on leave after informing the Chief Minister, she will join duty again whenever she wishes.

The spokesperson said that former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar should not worry. The present government does not work under pressure from anyone, nor is it blackmailed. This government has tightened the noose on the mining mafia the most, no discrimination is made between the common man and the elite while taking action. This shows the dedication of the government. After assuming power in the state, the present government has made many revolutionary changes in the system, the direct benefit of which is being received by the common people.
