Geriatric Care Services Programme in progress in Mashobra Block : Dr. Sanjay Ranaut
The Healthy Women, Empowered Families initiative has successfully achieved its goals through comprehensive health checkups and service delivery in the Mashobra medical block. Additionally, the Chief Minister launched geriatric care services on October 1, which are being actively implemented in the Mashobra block.
Dr. Sanjay Ranaut, Block Medical Officer, Mashobra, informed that the Mashobra block is served by one civil hospital, two CHCs, 16 PHCs, and 41 AAM (HWC) centers, through which this campaign was effectively implemented throughout the block. He stated that a total of 35,000 women in the prescribed age group underwent health checkups during the campaign. Additionally, services such as education and maternal health, child health, and immunization were provided. These included outreach camps in high-risk areas, disaster-affected areas, women’s service centers, orphanages, schools, old-age homes, deafness awareness and testing, and eye screening camps at the civil hospital and PMSMA clinics for early detection of high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Sanjay Ranaut stated that the campaign also achieved significant achievements in other health programs, including screening 28,000 vulnerable populations during the TB Free India Campaign. 650 beneficiary forms were filled under Nikshay Mitra. Extensive information and communication technology (ICT) activities were implemented, encompassing all national health programs. This achievement demonstrates the commitment of health teams led by doctors and community workers to ensure comprehensive health coverage for all segments of the population.
