Ganpati Bappa immersed in the Giri river
With the proclamation of Ganpit Bappa Morya, people immersed the idol of Lord Shri Ganesha with drums in the Giri river flowing along Yashwantnagar on Thursday. Throughout the day, devotees from different areas came in groups to bid farewell to the ten-day festival by floating the idol of Lord Ganesha in the Giri river. Due to this, the atmosphere near the Shani temple of the Giri river became devotional. A devotee named Neeraj who came from Solan said that he celebrates this festival every year with great enthusiasm in which family and neighborhood people participate. Told that Ganesha is considered the best among all the Gods and Goddesses, that is why Lord Ganesha is worshiped first in any work. Let us tell you that every year Ganeshotsav starts on the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadra month and continues till Chaturdashi. Mainly the people of South India who live in Himachal Pradesh, during this Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the idol of Ganesha is worshiped in their house for ten days with Shodshopachara. People believe that worshiping Ganapati brings happiness and prosperity to the home.
