Gadkari approves Rs 154 Cr to rain-affected Una & Kangra 

 In the first major move by the Union government Minister of Road, Highway and Transport Nitin Gadkari approved schemes worth Rs 154.25 crore for the Una and Kangra region of Himachal Pradesh under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CIRF).

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Mr Nitin Gadkari said that it would strengthen the infrastructure for smooth transportation in the flood and rain-affected Himachal Pradesh.

. He said schemes worth Rs 154.25 crore for the Una and Kangra region of Himachal Pradesh under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund CIRF have been approved.

The union minister was a lone union government functionary who showed deep concern over the rain-hit hill state.

He also visited the natural disasters-affected area of the state.

The Minister said under this approval, two bridges would be constructed on Swan River at a cost of Rs 50.60 crore and Pong Dam on Beas River at a cost of Rs 103.65 crore.
