Former CPI(M) Paralmentarian urges workers to get united and ensure ousting of anti-workers Modi Govt 

Central Indian Trade Union national general secretary and Former Member of Paralmentarian Tapen Sen urged the workers to unite to oust the anti-workers Modi Government in 2024.

He was addressing CITU’s two-day state-level training camp that started in Mandi.

 In his inaugural address, he said that the Modi government at the Center is implementing such policies which would be detrimental to the existence of workers in the country. 

Terming the government puppet in the hands of corporate houses he said that the central government is trying to enforce the industrial policy which is promoting ad-hoc and contractual employment to deprive the working people of their life security.

He said that now the government is trying to impose a policy of part-time, apprenticeship, and employment being given for some time and some hours.

He said that under the changing labor laws under the new labor market, there is no guarantee of minimum wage and other facilities for the workers working in these. 

 To give legal validity to all new lopsided policies it has abolished the labor laws and further replaced them with labor code.

He said that the Union government wasn’t able to implement pro-corporate measures due to the opposition of the trade unions.

He said that workers should get organized and defeat this government in the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year. 

He said that workers said that all workers must come under an organized union and more new such unions should be formed to fight and struggle for the rights of the working class in the future.

He said that to protest against the privatization of the public sector and repeal of labor laws, they are going to hold a three-day Mahapadav in Shimla on November 25, 26, and 27.

He said that after that all trade unions would launch a national-wide ‘Modi Hatao-Desh Bachao. campaign.

CITU’s state-level two-day training workshop started today at Sauli Khad Mandi presided over by Com Vijender Mehra in which eighty people from all the districts and unions are participating. 

 The training workshop was inaugurated by CITU National General Secretary and former MP Tapan Sen.  In today’s workshop, Dr. Kashmir Singh Thakur, KN Umesh, Prem Gautam, Ravindra Kumar, etc. of the National Center also provided information to the participants on different topics.
