For the first time, a government is seen celebrating its failures: Jairam Thakur
During the protest by BJP Himachal in Shimla, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that the present Sukhu government is celebrating its one year in office. This government has nothing but failures and yet it is being celebrated. It is presenting the schemes given by the Central Government as its achievements. He said that this is the first time that the government and the Chief Minister are celebrating their failures. The Leader of Opposition said that the Chief Minister and other leaders tried hard to call the Congress high command. Made several rounds of Delhi Darbar but no big leader of Congress was ready to come to this celebration of the government. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra did not attend the Dharamshala rally even after coming to Shimla. The Leader of Opposition said that he knows that the people of the state are standing at every road intersection to get answers to every lie told during the elections and they do not have the answer. He said that at least the senior Congress leaders realize that this government has nothing to celebrate in the name of achievement.
Jairam Thakur said that many senior and powerful leaders of the Congress knew that the Sukhu government did not have a single achievement to tell the people, hence it would be better to stay away from the celebrations rather than bringing the government into disrepute. There was a rift between Congress and the government regarding this matter. He said that Congress now wants to run the government which was formed by telling lies. They should remember that their days of lies are over.
The Leader of Opposition said that the Chief Minister should tell the people of the state what this celebration is about. Due to the disaster in the state, thousands of people became homeless and more than five hundred people died tragically. Roads, bridges, schools, health buildings, Panchayat buildings and all buildings related to public welfare are destroyed. There are no rooms even for conducting examinations in schools. In the name of relief, people got nothing except lip service. One and a half thousand institutions of public interest, which were opened on the demand of the people, were closed. More than ten thousand people were fired from their jobs and not a single new job was given. In such a situation, the talk of celebration by the government is beyond comprehension.
