5 trekkers died in Lamkhaga passes;4 missing two rescued from HP-Uttrakhand trekking route

As may as five trekkers recovered dead at Lamkhaga pass two were found live and four are missing /  out of 11 trekkers stranded on Uttrakhand Himachal Pradesh trekking route in the heavy snowfall.
Deputy commissioner KinnaurAbid Husain Sadik told UNI that Army Helicopter traced five dead bodies of 11 missing trekkers at Lamkhaga passes this afternoon.
 Two were found alive as they have struck in heavy snowfall on the way to  Chitkul village of Kinnaur district of Himachal.
He said out of 11 trekkers teo were found alive but four are missing out.
 Eight trekkers and three cook left for Chhitkul from Harsil of Uttarakhand on Oct 11 who are scheduled to arrived here on Oct 19 .

He said Rescue Operation was launched today as none otrekkers were  traceable after three to four feet snowfal on the pass.
 Deputy commissioner said that a Rescue team of ITBP was left for Lamkhaga pass at 0430hrs today and traced the bodies of five persons. One serious is being brought down by the Rescue party
An Army Helicopter from Uttarakhand also  assisted to trace them and take part in rescue operation, DC said.
SDRF identified the stranded trekkers  as  Mithun Dari (31), Tanmay Tiwari (30), Vikash Makal (33), Saurav Ghosh (34), Saviayan Das (28), Richard Mandal (30), and Suken Manjhi (43), all from Kolkata and Anita Rawat (38yrs) hails to Delhi.
Devendra (37), Gyan Chandra (33) and Upendra (32), belonged to Purola area of Uttarkashi and engaged for cooking by the trekkers also missing.
Both the state witnessed heavy rain and unseasonal snowfal with thunderstorm as 15 People are already killed in Uttrakhand due to flash flood.
District Emergency Operation Centre Kinnaur said that heavy snowfall also reported between Oct 17 to 18 on the high reaches of Kinnaur likely to be stranded the missing trekkers but there is no
