Farmers & Apple growers up their arms for the water struggle : Kissan Sabha

Number of farmers who are waging battle for the water in many villages in Kasumpti and Theog Assemblies was up their arms as they were facing worst ever water shortage and forced to come on the road. Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, state leader of

 Himachal Kisan Sabha said that the Water Struggle is the existencial Criss of life as Farmers who are first custodian of such natural resources are being discriminated vis a vis to influential who are geting water. The farmers are getting mere date to have supply once in a month and sometimes twice, when a family gets two and three buckets of water. This pain and angre seemering among the residents of  Bani, Makhdol, Nala-Kachhat, Dehna, Chiyog, Dhamandari and Mazhar Panchayats. Dr Tanwar who is himself on road along with CPI(M) MLA Rakesh Singha said that even after 75 years of independence, there are many such panchayats and villages in Shimla district where adequate water is not being provided by the Jal Shakti Department even for two days in a month. Whereas from these areas, from their water sources, 20 million liters of water has been lifted for Shimla city. From these sources water is also supplied to big hotels and influential people on daily basis. No authority was paying attention to the persistent water shortage as there is a lot of resentment among the people about this. Kisan Sabha expresses its gratitude to Rakesh Singha, CPE(M) MLA Theog who is helping and supporting the public in this movement.HKS also requests all the political parties to leave the party politics and help the public.

 Especially Kasumpti and Theog appeal to Congress and BJP and their elected MLA, party president and board members to help in providing water to the people.
