False propaganda of BJP should be raised effectively in the media : Amrit Gill
Media Coordinator Amrit Gill, appointed by All India Congress Committee for the state Lok Sabha elections, has said that in view of the powerful role of media, any false propaganda of BJP should be raised effectively in the media. He said that at present print, electronic and social media are easily available to all the people, hence people should be given complete information about the policies and programs of the party on these three mediums.
Today, while presiding over a meeting of spokespersons and media panelists at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, Amrit Gill said that everyone should go before the media with full preparation and knowledge of the facts. He said that any topic should be presented to the media only under the guidelines of the All India Congress Committee. He said that the party’s policies and programs should be given special mention in the Lok Sabha elections.
Amrit Gill said that the dictatorial way in which BJP is working today is a matter of great concern. Today efforts are being made to weaken democracy. The opposition is not allowed to speak inside the House. He said that BJP is playing with the religious sentiments of the people to divert people’s attention from the serious problems of the country like rising inflation and unemployment.
Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Amrit Gill said that the purpose of this yatra is to provide justice to the people in the country at every level. He said that the objectives of this Yatra should be mentioned prominently in the state also.
Amrit Gill said that people should also be given prominent information about the achievements and future plans of the state government in one year. He said that the terrible natural disaster that hit the state last year caused unforgettable wounds to the state, which is very painful. He said that during this period neither the Central Government provided any financial help to the state nor the BJP leaders of the state provided any support. He said that people should also be given complete information about the negative attitude of the state BJP. He told the spokespersons present in the meeting to expose the dual character of the state BJP and also to inform the people about the actions of the BJP. He said that the help that the Congress government of the state has provided to the disaster affected people is very commendable. He also asked all the spokespersons to maintain complete coordination among themselves and respond strictly to any false propaganda by BJP.
