More than two lakh youth of the state who appeared in a JOA-IT entrance test four years ago are waiting for the result despite having assurance from the council of ministers of the Himachal Pradesh Government a month ago.

Several JOAs have stormed the streets of the Himachal Pradesh state secretariat for the last two days seeking deceleration of results that have not been released to date.

The aspirant also knocked on the door of the  High Court and the Supreme Court which have passed orders to announce the JOA-IT result providing the job to protesting youth within three months.

The protesters stated that after closing down the Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur state government could not resolve the issue and play with the career of lakhs of youths.

There are still a few days left as per the order of the court therefore JOA-IT candidates reached the Secretariat Shimla to meet the Chief Minister.

Protesters allege that the Himachal Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has refused to declare their results, while the newly constituted State Staff Commission has not been asked to release the results so far.

Braving the cold wave overnight  10 protesters were seeking to audience with the Chief minister outside the secretariat here.

This message was also conveyed to Chief Minister Sukhu through officers. But the Chief Minister did not come to meet him till late evening.

At 9 pm few protesting candidates were called by the Chief Minister for an interview. After this, he was assured that qualified candidates would get an appointment soon.

After 10 pm the Chief Minister listened to the pleas of the candidates who were suffering from unemployment. Among them were some women, who came to Shimla from remote and remote areas.

This morning, the Chief Minister again called the five candidates for a meeting and advised the ministers to persuade them. This frustrates the protesters further.
