Empowerment of women is essential for building a prosperous and just society: Monica Anand

(FMA) organized Unnati Talk Show, a celebration of the indomitable spirit and leadership of women. The event took place at Panorama Exports, DLF Faridabad, which brought together Mahila Shakti to honour the achievements and contributions of women across various sectors. The event began with the welcome address by Deepika from HR Department and Saloni Kaul, President, FMA. The session was moderated by Monika Anand, General Secretary, FMA, while the event was concluded by Charu Smita Malhotra, Vice President, FMA. On the occasion, Dr. Punita Hasija expressed her views emphasizing the importance of women empowerment and participation of women in every field. Charu Smita Malhotra highlighted the challenges faced by women and Saloni Kaul discussed in detail about more opportunities and support systems for women. She said that availability of basic facilities like education, health, and safe workplace are of utmost importance to enable women to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals. Dr. Hasija’s views on facing challenges like menopause underscored her commitment to advancing women’s leadership and empowerment, and concluded the event with motivational remarks on health, well-being and women’s empowerment. Meanwhile, Monica Anand, while sharing her views on women’s empowerment, said that women’s empowerment is not only their right but is essential for building a prosperous and just society. Today’s women are playing a leading role in every field, but we have to ensure that they get equal opportunities and support at every level. She said that we also have to change the mindset of the society, so that women are evaluated according to their abilities and they get freedom and respect in every aspect of their life.
