Employees on strike, development work coming to a standstill: Mahendra Dharmani

BJP state spokesperson Mahendra Dharmani cornered the Sukhu government and said that the employees of the state are agitating for their demands and there is an atmosphere of chaos in the entire state. Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department employees are sitting on the agitation.

He said that after the disaster, where the damage was assessed and its report was to be presented, the assessment of the disaster is not being done even after three months. Today, Gram Sabhas have not been held in 3300 Panchayats and development works have come to a standstill. Even the Minister and the CM are not looking serious in this chaos.

He said that the people of the state are worried due to the loss of life and property in the entire state due to the natural disaster, because about 4700 employees of the Panchayat through which the assessment and report of this loss is to be prepared, have been working in the Zilla Parishad for the last several days. Are on strike. Due to Panchayat employees going on strike, the work of the villages and the poor has come to a standstill. Due to which there is anger among the general public towards the government.

He said that now the winter season has started. Due to snowfall in many parts of the state, it will become even more difficult, in such a situation, people of remote and hilly areas will have to face a lot of trouble if the government’s relief does not reach the needy people. BJP spokesperson Mahendra Dharmani accused the government and said that the government has completely failed to solve the problems of the Zilla Parishad employees. In the first cabinet, assurance was given to regularize Zilla Parishad employees in Panchayati Raj Department and Rural Development Department. But more than nine months have passed but the government has still not increased the salary of those employees.

BJP spokesperson said that the government should understand the role of thousands of employees of the state working under the Zilla Parishad in the development of the villages and the general public, otherwise the village development work and the post-disaster assistance provided to the eligible people will not be possible. Due to the agitation of these employees, even the general meeting of the Panchayat could not be held on October 2 in most of the Panchayats of the state.
