Emergency Helicopter rescue two patients from Dodrakawar
Two patients who require emergency health services stranded in snowbound Dodrakawar Subdivision of Shimla district was evacuated by the state emergency special sortie conducted yesterday. Spokesperson of state GAD department that patients are Prem Lal (58) and Ajeet Kumar (40) were airlifted along-with their attendants from Dodra Kwar, the far flung region of district Shimla by State government’s Helicopter yesterday. It has been stated that after having call for emergency Chief Minister directed the district administration to get them airlifted and provide them immediate medical assistance. It was also ensured to station an ambulance and medical attendants at Annandale helipad, to provide them the medical care. Both the patients were shifted to IGMC for treatment. As per the latest reports, both of them were recuperating at IGMC. Earlier emergency sorties of helicopter also operated from tribal belts of Killar in Chamba district and from Lahaul-Spiti. During Winter season when number of state roads remained snowbound in Lahaul-Spiti, Pangi in Chamba and Dodrakawar of Shimla GAD operate special sorties to assist patients, Employees and students etc to evacuate and send them down affected area.
