Ekal Abhiyan Village Organization made women aware
An awareness program of Gram Mahila Samiti was organized in Rajgarh zone, courtesy of Ekal Abhiyan Gram Sangathan Mahila Varg Division South Himachal. Around 200 women from 11 group centers under Rajgarh zone participated in this meeting. In this meeting, especially North West Mahila Samiti in-charge Pratishwari, Division South Himachal Mahila Samiti in-charge Begum, Zonal Mahila Samiti in-charge Kalpana, Zonal Mahila Samiti member Saroj, Zonal Maa Kiran, Zonal President Anil along with other workers participated. In the meeting, women were informed about various welfare schemes being implemented for women empowerment by the Government of India and the State Government.
Media in-charge Vinod Chauhan said that women were made aware about opening savings account in bank, organic farming, female foeticide, dowry system, child marriage, making children cultured as well as connecting them with spirituality. He said that 330 Ekal Vidyalayas are being run under 11 cluster centers under Rajgarh region, in which children are being educated along with making them cultured. He said that there is a five-pronged objective of opening Ekal Vidyalayas in every village, in which the most important objective is to make children cultured so that they can become true citizens of the country and society. Apart from this, the four other objectives are primary education, health, village self-respect awakening and village upliftment.
Sports coach Rita Thakur, campaign head Sanju Rana, zonal coach Sapna Dhiman, and all group workers Rupa Thakur, Nauhradhar, Payal Thakur, Bogdhar, Meera Kashyap, Shilabagh, Payal Thakur Rajgarh, Ruchi Chayal, Ankita Lancheta, Sanjana Badusahib, Pratishtha Habban, Reena Devthi Majhgaon, Anjana Didag, Anshul Sanaura, Arjun office head and other workers participated in the conference. On this occasion, gifts were also given to all the workers by the committee.
