Rohit Thakur launches the second episode and poster of The White Truth
Education Minister, Himachal Pradesh Rohit Thakur on Wednesday formally launched the second episode and poster of the innovative web series ‘The White Truth’ prepared by Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti.
On this occasion, the Education Minister, while appreciating the efforts being made by Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti to make the state drug-free, said that today’s youth is increasingly falling prey to synthetic drugs, which is a matter of serious concern for both the society and the future. He said that web series like ‘The White Truth’ makes the youth aware of the reality of drug addiction and how to get out of it and can become a powerful medium to bring positive change in the society. He said that the state government has taken a firm resolve to make the state drug-free.
Expressing concern over the increasing prevalence of various types of drug addiction among youth, he said that the current trend of youth falling prey to drug addiction is a matter of serious concern and concern. It is crucial for parents to be aware of this and keep a close eye on their children’s activities. He said that drug addiction is adversely affecting the future and health of youth. To combat this social evil, the issue of drug addiction must be raised in every household, only then can a healthy and drug-free society be envisioned.
State Secretary Satyawan Pundir stated that this web series is being broadcast on digital platforms via the Gyan Vigyan Stream channel on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, with the aim of strengthening public awareness against drug abuse in society. The committee delegation requested that the web series be shown in government and private educational institutions and that constructive discussions be held, to which the minister assured support.
The delegation included State Secretary Satyawan Pundir, spokesperson Dr. Ravindra Rathore, District Secretary Naveen Sharma, Treasurer Satyendra Chauhan, and Youth Coordinator Ankit Dubey.
