Dy CM boards HRTC bus to know about public problems 

 Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri traveled in an HRTC bus for half an hour to knows about public problems and also resolved various issues on the spot.

 Deputy Chief Minister boards an HRTC  bus at Jathehari adjacent to Piplu in Kutlehar this evening.  Dy CM who holds the portfolio of Transport traveled about 5 kilometers by bus.

During the short journey, he established direct communication with the passenger and took their suggestions to improve the Transport facilities.

The Deputy Chief Minister was returning to Una after attending the Piplu fair of Kutlehar as the chief guest.  Meanwhile, he stopped his convoy in the middle and traveled in the bus of Himachal Road Transport Corporation.

 While inspecting the bus, he first got to know the condition of the bus from the driver.  He took feedback from the driver on technical aspects.  After this, he learned about the various problems faced by school children and local people traveling on the bus.

 During this, the local people demanded from the Deputy Chief Minister that the bus coming from Hamirpur should be run to Piplu instead of Dolu.  On the spot, the Deputy Chief Minister spoke to HRTC officials over the phone and issued instructions to run the bus to Piplu.  

Apart from this, he also learned about the problems of electricity, water, roads, etc. from the local people.

 During the visit, he also interacted with the school children and talked about the timetable of the bus, etc.  

The Deputy Chief Minister assured to issue appropriate directions to the concerned authorities on the problems of the passengers.

Earlier to this Congress former Transport Minister G S Bali also used to cultivate communication with passengers and he put up his mobile number in all HRTC services. Mr Bali gad also promptly responded to public queries and he also intervened on various levels.

HRTC has been winning the Best Transport Roadways award in the country due to its well-behaved staff and quality services. Public sector Corporation is going to switch over to electric vehicles to reduce the fuel mileage and brought down losses and cost of operations of HRTC fleet. HRTC has 3300 buses and 5000 staff which offered its services on 2100 intrastate and 150 interstate routes.
