Due to lack of Sulabh toilets in Sanaura, Women are faceing problems

The cleanliness system in Sanora, the center point of three districts, is in a bad state. Heaps of garbage lying here and there have become the center of attraction for the visitors. Apart from this, there is no provision of toilet for the people coming to this place. Especially women have to carry a lot of garbage. Thousands of vehicles pass through this place every day. Apart from this, a vegetable market is also operational in Sanora, where apart from Sirmaur, farmers from Solan and Shimla district situated on the border come to sell their cash crops, but there is no facility of toilet, water, waiting room for the farmers in this vegetable market.
Let us tell you that there is no solid system for disposal of garbage coming out of local market and private vegetable market due to which there is a lot of dirt in Sanaura and heaps of garbage are lying everywhere. Seeing the condition of Sanaura Panchayat headquarters, the claims of the government’s cleanliness campaign are proving to be hollow. Not only this, herds of stray animals are also seen in Sanaura.
Being a focal point, hundreds of small and big vehicles and buses keep coming and going from here to Rajgarh and Neripul, Chhaila, Pulvahal, Dhamala etc. daily, due to which there is always a crowd of people in Sanaura. Passengers waiting for the bus, especially women, face a lot of problems due to lack of toilet facilities. Farmers Rakesh Kumar, Narendra Thakur, Nihal Singh, who have come to Sanaura from different areas, have demanded from the government that Sulabh Shauchalaya should be built in Sanaura so that apart from the farmers who come here daily, hundreds of people do not face any inconvenience.
Vikram, the deputy head of Karganu Panchayat, said that there is a problem in constructing toilets due to non-availability of land for toilets. He said that the Panchayat has verbally requested the commission agents and local shopkeepers several times to maintain cleanliness in Sanaura.
