Drug addiction is the cause of destruction – Children should stay away from drugs : Keshav Ram

An awareness camp was organized on Friday at the Government Senior Secondary School for Excellence, Chiyog, by the Human Welfare Service Committee, to raise awareness among students about the ill effects of drug abuse. On this occasion, National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers took an oath to launch a campaign against drug abuse.
Presiding over the camp, committee director Keshav Ram Lothta said that addiction is a cause of destruction. Many families in society have been ruined by addiction. He added that the current trend of young people falling prey to various types of addiction has become a matter of concern and concern for everyone. He added that the state government has launched a campaign against addiction, especially chitta, and everyone must contribute. No government campaign is successful without public support.
He said that the committee is organizing de-addiction camps, especially in educational institutions, to prevent children from ruining their lives by falling into the clutches of addiction. He added that the camps they organize are proving quite fruitful.
Deepak Sundariyal, regional coordinator of the Seva Samiti, advised students on ways to stay away from drugs. He said that initially, students use them as a hobby or fashion, and gradually become addicted.
Acting Principal Ravindra Thakur said that keeping their children drug-free has become a major challenge for parents these days. Only then can we dream of a prosperous nation. The purpose of this type of camp at the school is to raise awareness through students.
