Dr. Sikandar raised issue of policy formulation for outsourced employees of Himachal

Dr. Sikandar Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP and State General Secretary BJP raised the issue of policy formulation for outsourced employees of Himachal Pradesh in the Parliament. He said that at present about 30 thousand employees are providing their services on outsourcing in various departments, boards, corporations in Himachal Pradesh. He said that the employees working on outsourcing in government departments work like regular employees but their future is always uncertain. Their salary is also low and many times they do not get salary for months. They have to work without salary for many months.
Dr. Sikandar said that during the Covid pandemic, the Himachal BJP government had recruited medical staff through outsourcing but it is very unfortunate that as soon as the power changed in Himachal, the Congress government terminated the services of these Covid warriors and fired thousands of outsourced employees employed in other departments, boards, corporations. Covid warriors who risked their lives and served Covid patients day and night during the pandemic are today fighting for justice. Many outsourced workers have been providing their services in various departments for 15-20 years but the government has not yet made any policy for them.
Dr. Sikandar told the House that all the outsourced workers are still waiting for a permanent policy for themselves but till now they have only got disappointment. He demanded from the House that keeping in mind the future of outsourced workers, a solid and permanent policy should be made for them so that their future can be secured.
