District level under 14 sports competitions begin in Taklech

The district level Under-14 student category minor games competition began at Shanti Devi Memorial Government Model Senior Secondary School, Taklech. 850 students from 21 blocks are participating in this three-day sports competition. These minor games will include competitions in kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho, badminton, judo, and wrestling. Taklech Panchayat Pradhan Namita Sharma inaugurated the sports competition by lighting the lamp. She took the salute of the impressive march past presented by the players. Deputy Pradhan Mahendra Singh Thakur and Zone President Shiv Raj Thakur were present as special guests.
Earlier, Principal and Managing Secretary Nek Ram Chauhan welcomed the chief guest and provided detailed information about the arrangements made for the tournament. He thanked the local community, the Women’s Club, the Youth Club, the Business Club, and the SMC for their support.
Sports in-charge of Mashobra block, Nandlal Sharma successfully conducted the stage and boosted the morale of the players by reciting inspirational Rubaiyat.
On this occasion, ADPO Shimla Rajesh Chauhan, DPE of local school Sanjay Negi and PET Kamlesh along with physical teachers from various schools and a large number of local people and players were present.
