District Administration Shimla suspended the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra

District Administration Shimla suspended Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra in view of the persistent rainfall condition & forecast of a red alert issued by the IMD. 

SDM Nirmand of District Kullu Ashutosh Garg informed that following potential risk of flash floods or landslides at Parvatibag and beyond it doesn’t appear to be favorable to continue the pilgrimage. It was terminated with immediate effect and cannot be continued in view of prevailing conditions.  

SDM also directed the trust to ensure the safe evacuation of all the pilgrims and officials at various campsites as soon as the weather conditions permit.  

Shri Khand Mahadev Yatra – 2023 was started on July 7.
