Discussion organized on issues of drug addicts at Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti Centre

In the 18th monthly camp of the Public Health Centre at the office of Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti in Sanjauli, issues of drug-affected people were discussed in which DSP CID Ravindra Negi, after listening to the pain of the families affected by drug addiction and inspired by the willpower of the youth who wanted to get out of addiction, discussed various aspects of drug addiction and appealed to such youth to present an ideal in today’s society. Discussing the relevance and initiative of this monthly camp, State Secretary of Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti, Satyawan Pundir, said that from the various experiences used during the ‘Save Youth Campaign’ launched against drug addiction in the last one and a half years, 7 types of interventions have been identified, on which work needs to be done by making a holistic and systematic outline. These include 1. Expert group for scientific intervention, 2. Formation of positive support group, 3. Digital intervention considering the role of social media, 4. Social, religious, cultural, political, governmental, non-governmental mobilization by creating broad unity, 5. Dialogue with affected families and youth, family intervention and the central role of mother, 6. Intervention in the form of cultural campaign to establish values ​​in the society.
In this camp, with the help of Multi Specialty Center Sanjauli, fasting sugar test and HBAIC test were also done for the participants.
On this occasion, social workers Gianand Sharma, Govind Chataranta, Sumitra Chandel, Dr. Kuldeep Tanwar, Hiranand Shandil, Robin Sinha etc. along with psychologist Dr. Ravi Bhushan also participated.
