Diesel becomes dearer by Rs. 3 per liter in Himachal

Seven-Month-old Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Government decided to hike Value Added Tax on Diesel by Rs three per liter.

A notification issued by  Principal Secretary Excise and Taxation Bharat Kheda said that  BAT on Diesel is being charged at the rate of 9.96 percent or Rs 7.40  per liter to be charged now at a rate of 13.9 pc or Rs 10.40 per liter. The hile would come into force with effect from 14.07.2023.

It is the second time the Sukhu government in the last seven months given the second hike as it has hiked prices on fuel prices starting to rationalize it at par with border states.
