Dhali children visited Renuka Lake and admired the picturesque valleys
During an educational trip, children from Government High School, Dhali, Junga tehsil, visited Renukaji, a historical and picturesque site in Sirmaur district and the state. Dressed in colorful attire, the children, along with their teachers, had a great time in the bus and when they reached Renuka, they enjoyed visiting Shri Renuka Lake, Parshuram Tal and the temple and the surrounding environment.
Rakesh Verma, head teacher of Dhali Vidyalaya, told the children that this lake is the largest natural lake in the state, which is a famous pilgrimage site of North India and is also world famous as a religious tourist spot. Lord Parashuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, comes every year on the tenth day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month from Jamu Koti mound to meet his mother Renuka. On this occasion, a fair is organized for a week at Renuka Tirtha. Bathing in Renuka Lake on the occasion of Sankranti, Purnima, Amavasya and Prabodhini Ekadashi of every month is of great importance. Every year, devotees and tourists come here to enjoy the natural beauty of nature and earn merit by bathing in the lake.
During this, the children also visited the mini zoo and observed the animals of different species living there from a distance. The children also went boating in the lake, a symbol of the unique beauty of this place, and gained information about the waterfalls along with the skyscraper hills. Meanwhile, Hemwati, in-charge of the primary wing, said that such trips have special importance in the educational environment, which increases the knowledge of the children. Ashish Sharma, Anju Bedi, Poonam, Anil Sharma, Mukesh, Satyanand Sharma, Hemwati, Shivani Sharma and Prem Lata, additional mid-day meal staff were also present during this trip.
