Development stalled under Congress rule, government did not launch a single public welfare scheme: Bindal

Dr. Rajiv Bindal, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said that the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh appears helpless even after three years in office. Even after three years, the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and ministers seem to be singing the same tune: the Bharatiya Janata Party. Despite three years in office, the government has not launched a single public welfare scheme. Dr. Bindal stated that the health sector is a crucial one. Despite depriving millions of residents of the state of the benefits of the Himcare scheme, this government has failed to introduce any new ones. The benefits of Ayushman Bharat, a central government scheme, are also not available to the people of Himachal, forcing patients to run from pillar to post. The 108 ambulance service has completely derailed, failing to meet its schedule and arriving within 2-3 hours of a call.

Dr. Bindal said that the state government has discontinued the previous BJP government’s Himcare scheme, that the benefits of the central government’s Ayushman scheme are not being received, and that it has not launched a single new scheme, and that the people of the state are sitting idle even after three years of the government. He said that the state government has not launched a single scheme for the welfare of the youth and the unemployed in the last three years. The unemployed of the state were hoping that they would get 100,000 government jobs and 500,000 jobs in the first cabinet, but even after three years, they have not received a job, nor a scheme that could help them advance themselves.

Dr. Bindal said that this government has failed to launch any scheme for the upliftment of women, nor has it launched any scheme for the welfare of the poor, and if it has launched any scheme at all, it is a scheme to close institutions. He said that the Chief Minister, who is talking about system change, is completely ignorant of the truth, because his officials and colleagues are not telling him the reality that the system in the state is not changing, but rather collapsing.

Dr. Bindal said that according to yesterday’s news, schools without teachers will be merged with other schools, schools without their own buildings will also be merged, and the process of merging schools with fewer students is ongoing. By making such decisions, the government is shirking its responsibility and abdicating its duties. It has become fashionable for the Congress party to abuse the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congress ministers, leaders, and friends spend every day abusing the BJP.

Dr. Bindal said that today the people of Himachal Pradesh want to know in clear terms that if you have launched even a single scheme in the state’s interest and public interest, please let them know. Simply making excuses about empty coffers cannot meet the people’s needs, and the situation has now spiraled out of the government’s control. He advised the Chief Minister to stop shifting responsibility and blaming others for his own actions and instead take charge of his own responsibilities.
