State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh has said that the development of tribal areas has been the contribution of the Congress government and former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. She said that BJP misleads people in the name of development.
Addressing a meeting of party workers in Bhavanagar today, Pratibha Singh said that the Congress government of the state is providing all possible help to the disaster-affected people. She said that during this period the BJP neither extended any support to the government nor provided any help to the people. She said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and all the ministers of the state government are visiting the disaster-affected areas in the state day and night to help the people. She said that the state suffered huge losses due to the disaster. She said that the BJP government at the Center did not provide any special financial assistance to the state to deal with the disaster. She urged the BJP MPs to rise above party politics and meet the Prime Minister to get it declared a national disaster and provide special financial assistance. She requested but he did not give any cooperation in this also.
During this, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that the Congress government in the state is fully engaged in relief and rehabilitation works. He said that the Congress government has called a special session of the Assembly and passed a resolution to deal with this disaster and asked for special economic assistance from the Centre. Help was requested but BJP leaders did not cooperate in this either. He said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken up the cause of helping the disaster-affected people by releasing Rs 4500 crore and the state government is fully helping the people.
Vikramaditya Singh said that an alternative route will be expanded from Rampur to Bhavanagar Kinnaur so that traffic can flow on this route without any hindrance throughout the year. He said that it would be finalized after a discussion with Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi in this regard. will be given. He said that his government is paying special attention to the expansion and maintenance of roads in the state.
Vikramaditya Singh said that the state government did a very good job during the disaster. The affected roads were restored soon. He said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government has overcome this disaster with its own resources.
Vikramaditya Singh said that his relationship with the tribal areas Kinnaur, Lahulspiti, and Bharmour Pagi is not only a political relationship but a family relationship and will always be so. Their main goal is to solve the problems of these areas. He asked the people to come forward unitedly to strengthen the Congress. He said that a popular government of Congress has been formed in the state and after the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year, the country will get freedom from the corruption of the BJP.
State Congress General Secretary Kinnaur in-charge Mahendra Stan, District Congress President Umesh Negi, Block President Veer Singh also addressed the meeting and urged the party workers to work unitedly to strengthen the party.
