Devastating Fire in Tand Village Leaves Dozens of Homes and Livestock Shelters Destroyed
A massive fire broke out in Tand village, located under the Banjar subdivision of Kullu district, on Wednesday, destroying at least twenty houses, several cow sheds, and a local deity’s storehouse. The fire is believed to have started near a villager’s cow shed, belonging to Dalip Singh, and rapidly spread to surrounding properties.
Firefighters from Banjar, Larji, and Kullu worked tirelessly to control the blaze. According to local authorities, the fire caused significant damage, with initial estimates placing the loss at nearly Rs 10 crore. Immediate relief measures have been provided to the affected families to help them cope with the aftermath.
