Despite lack of facilities, Dr Ishan is providing 24 hour services to patients

Despite the lack of facilities in the Primary Health Center Trahai of Mashobra Block, the doctor Dr. Ishan Kaushal is providing 24-hour emergency services to the patients, due to which, apart from Peeran Panchayat, people of many villages of Sirmour district adjoining and bordering it are getting better treatment facilities. Although there is no provision of emergency services in this PHC, but due to the passion of social service in Dr. Ishan, he is always ready to provide services to the patients 24 hours a day at his level.
Dr Ishan says that many times late night cases of dog bite, snake bite, accident and other diseases come to this hospital from rural areas, which are given first aid as far as possible. He told that he has made his mobile number public so that any suffering person can contact him anytime. Dr Ishan told that this PHC is working since the year 2016 but till date it has not got its own building, although about four years ago the land has been selected for the construction of PHC. He says that a building has been taken on rent for the PHC, which is insufficient.
He told that through this hospital camps are also organized in various villages in which tests of blood pressure, sugar etc. are done for free. Apart from this, with the help of this center, vaccination is done from time to time in Anganwadi centers and educational institutions.
Local residents Manohar Singh Thakur, Pritam Singh Thakur, Ramsaran Thakur and many others said that PHC is functioning in this village since 2016 but for the first time in the last nine years, Dr. Ishan is providing the best medical facilities to the people. Whereas in the past there was no doctor in this PHC and the doctors who were posted here used to go on deputation. Local people have demanded from the government to provide lab facilities in this PHC so that people do not have to go to Shimla or Solan for treatment of minor diseases.
