Denotified institution require budget tune to Rs 5000 Cr : CM

Himachal Pradesh Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated on Wednesday that his government has denotified 900 Institutions opened by last Jai Ram Thakur before Election would require budgetary provision tune to Rs 5000 crore. Giving a statement in Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha during first day of Winter session at Tapovan chief minister assured that his government would consider re-opening of denotified institutions on the basis of need and re-review. A copy of Institutions denotified was also issued for media stating that Institutions were opened on the paper and nothing exist on the ground. Making  statement on the opposition protested  Mr Sukhu said that such Institutions would be provided  budget and staff first before restoring such institutions as previous BJP government opened them without providing them budget and staff. ,  Chief Minister said that the previous government opened more than 900 institutions in the last 9 months of its tenure.  Of these, 386 schools and 584 other institutions are included.  He said that these institutes were opened without budget now need around Rs 5000 crore to run them.  Sukhu said that the previous government opened such CHCs where only compounder was posted, while high schools were opened only with the help of peons.  He sarcastically said that despite opening more than 900 institutions, the public made the BJP government to sit in the opposition.  The Chief Minister said that the government will not let even a single child be deprived of education and where there is a need, a school will be opened for even a single child.  He alleged that the former BJP government opened schools without teachers just before the elections, including 130 such senior secondary schools. .However, LOP Jai Ram Thakur did not agree to review the decision and the opposition party walked out after shouting the slogans.  Outside the Assembly Jairam Thakur said that it was for the first time in the history of Himachal Pradesh that such a situation has cropped up.  He said that the budget was allotted by the cabinet for these institutions and the staff was also deputed.  He said that if some institutions are short of staff the present government should fill up these posts.  Jairam Thakur said that perhaps the concerned authorities may have given wrong information to the chief minister but he should at least verify the facts after going through the facts.
