CWC gives a nod to go ahead with caste senses in Himachal

To counter the polarisation of the BJP on the basis of religion Congress Working Committee decided to conduct a caste census on the line of Bihar the decision was taken by the party in the CWC meeting today.

According to party sources, CWC has passed a resolution unanimously in the Congress Working Committee meeting held on Monday in Delhi.

 This decision was taken after a four-hour discussion in the CWC. 

According to this proposal, Congress-ruled Himachal, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh will also conduct caste census.

The caste census has never been conducted in the country before. After counting the castes, Congress will also conduct an economic survey so that the poor can get their rights.

 Politics has also become heated in the hills regarding the caste census. Bharatiya Janata Party is making allegations of dividing the society on the basis of caste.

In a press statement issued BJP leader Jai Ram Thakur already condemned the INDIA alliance state Bihar for the move.

On the decision taken in CWC, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur it is said that this is an attempt to divide the society. Congress is adopting these tactics to regain its lost political ground. This is an attempt to divide the society.

State BJP co-in-charge Sanjay Tandon accused Congress of doing appeasement politics and dividing the country on caste lines. He said that this is the first time in the country that a state has conducted this census to carry out this work. Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu and Congress state president Pratibha Singh also attended the CWC meeting.

According to party sources state of Himachal Pradesh follows Bihar. The government would be expected to clarify the situation regarding this later.

Notably, the general census scheduled in the country in 2020 could not be conducted due to Corona. 

This work did not start even after three years. Meanwhile, CWC has decided to conduct a caste census in four states.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will return to Shimla tomorrow morning and will hold a meeting of DCs and SPs of all the districts. 

Apart from the government schemes, the law and order situation, relief, and rescue work after the disaster will be reviewed. 

Along with knowing the status of various pending works at the district level, instructions will be given to the officials to settle the pending cases of FCA-FRA.

Although the Chief Minister was to take this meeting today, due to CWC it has been postponed to tomorrow. For this, the officers have been stuck in Shimla for two days.
