Current government is fulfilling public expectations without asking: Sukhu

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today attended the nomination program of Congress Party candidate Devindra Jaggi from Dharamshala Assembly constituency. After this, while addressing a huge public meeting, the Chief Minister said that the present Congress government is the government of the common people. He said that the present government is making schemes for the welfare of every section of the society and implementing them on the ground without any demand. Chief Minister Sukhashraya Yojana for orphan children, expenses for the education of widows’ children up to 27 years of age, financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh for building a house, increase in the daily wage of MNREGA by Rs 60, free treatment for elderly people above 70 years of age and The present government has given the minimum support price for milk. Apart from this, the state government is also providing financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh to the sanitation workers of Valmiki community to build houses.
He said that the government has earned this money by closing the doors of corruption whereas Jairam Thakur, when he was the Chief Minister in the previous BJP government, emptied the treasury and failed to bring money from the Center also. He said that even during the disaster, BJP leaders did not stand with the affected families and only continued doing politics. He said that three BJP MPs did not even have the courage to write a letter to the Prime Minister or the Home Minister and ask for a special relief package for Himachal Pradesh. But the present government, with its resources, applied balm to the wounds of the affected families.
The Chief Minister said that the work of the Central University in Jadrangal will be started soon and the state government will deposit its entire share. He said that when he was the Urban Development Minister, the local MLA purchased land wrongly and his scams are coming to light. He said that the former MLA had no pain for the public and only greed for money dominated. He said that the people of Dharamshala used to leave the MLA and come straight to him because his door did not open. The former MLA came to me to get the land acquired from HIMUDA and said that he will buy it cheaply and sell it dearly. He said that they have become the biggest land mafia. He said that the land mafia will be exposed within ten days. He said that the former MLA has come into politics not for service but for luxury.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the former MLA got two briefcases in horse-trading during the Rajya Sabha elections because he was the leader of the tainted ones. They have brought some money to Dharamshala and some will be distributed during the elections. He said to take the money and vote for Congress only. He said that the former MLA had built a bungalow worth Rs 20 crore by looting public property and is now busy hiding the money.
The Chief Minister said that the people of the state will teach a lesson to those selling themselves in the political market. He said that this election is not about saving the CM or the government but about saving democracy. The Congress government will complete its tenure of three and a half years and a blockbuster film will be released on June 4, the second part of which will come in 2027.
He said that Congress Party’s Lok Sabha seat candidate Anand Sharma and Dharamshala Assembly seat candidate Devindra Jaggi will serve the area. He said that the people of Kangra Lok Sabha constituency will get a voice to raise their rights across the country, every letter of which is considered by the government. He said that as a Union Minister, he has given a lot to Himachal Pradesh and he will get a ministerial post in the India Alliance government at the Centre. He said that Congress candidate Devindra Jaggi is a decent person who does not have money power like the BJP candidate, but he will serve the people of the area with a true heart. He said that you should consider me as your MLA and no stone will be left unturned in the development of the area.
