CSIR IHBT organized Hindi Forthnight
The Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur, organized a Hindi Fortnight from September 9 to 23, 2025. It concluded on September 23, 2025, and on this occasion, Professor Dr. Krishna Mohan Pandey from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, delivered a speech on the topic “Science in the Vedas.” In his address, he presented interesting and informative facts about the use of numerous medicines described in the Vedas.
In his address, the institute’s Director, Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav, emphasized the importance of Hindi in communicating the research and achievements in the field of science to the common people. He urged scientists to make more efforts to disseminate their research to the general public in Hindi.
Subsequently, the Director honored the winners of various competitions organized under the Hindi Fortnight and extended his best wishes. It is noteworthy that under the Hindi Fortnight, a Translation and Précis Writing competition was held on 09.09.2025, Popular Science Writing on 10.09.2025, a Hindi Speech Competition on 16.09.2025, and a Hindi Workshop on 19.09.2025.
On this occasion, the institute’s Hindi magazine “Him Sampada Vaigyaniki” was also released.
