Covid is under control, virus load declining gradually but need to be cautious
The Covid pandemic should not be undermined as the number of cases may increase with the rise in the footfalls of tourists in the summer season, the state official said.
Releasing data of the ongoing wave of the Covid pandemic which has increased covid active cases up to 2145 now declining gradually. The state health authority has entrusted Target to conduct Covid testing regularly as the number of cases is still alarming.
There were only 29 cases on March 1 which went up to 873 on March 31. Similarly, on April 1 it was 1196 and increased to 2145 on April 13. The active cases came down to 1406 on April 24. This shows downward trends but keeping the figure for February and early March the virus loads is still high.
On Monday 209 fresh Covid positive cases were recorded in Himachal Pradesh pushing the over-caseload to 320600 in the hill state.
Among the fresh cases, 64 were reported from Kangra district, 55 from Mandi, 12 from Shimla, 24 from Bilaspur, 13 from Solan, 11 from Chamba, and 15 from Sirmour district. In the state, there were 298 recoveries. In the state total death toll has remained at 4216. thus taking the overall number of recovered patients to 314957.
