Covid attributes HP to set up 48 PSA plant  & 1014 ventilators

Himachal Pradesh Government claimed in the Guv address that it has attributed by the Covid pandemic to modernized the  state health services 48 PSA plants were set up increasing them from two only beside this state have made 1014 ventilators functional in the various hospital of the state compared to 52 available earlier.
This was stated by Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajinder Visvanath Arelekhr while delivering the Gug Address in the state assembly on the commencement of Budget session at council chamber here today.
” To deal with the dire conditions arising out of the global pandemic Corona(Covid -19) for the last two years Guv set up three hospitals to provide timely medical facilities to the affected people. While earlier only two PSA plants were working in the state, now 48 PSA plants have been set up with additional availability of 90 metric tons of Oxygen. Earlier , only 52 ventilators were available in the states, now 1014 ventilators are functional in the various  hospitals. Similarly the availability of ICU beds has been increased from 52 to 557. Now 17000Oxygen Cylinders or concentrators are available in the state compared to 3000 earlier.”
The Guv said that medical equipment worth Rs 17 Cr has been purchased in various medical colleges in the state including 128 slice CT scan machines in medical at Nahan, Chamba and Tanda moreover works to purchase 87 Cr are also in progress. 
He said that the Prime minister himself shower praise on the state for achieving the cent per cent vaccination target of 1st and 2nd dose of Covid basis which brought laurel to this hill due to tireless efforts made by frontline workers with help of public support.  The Guv address also mentioned about Mukhya Mantri Seva Sankalap Helpline @ 1100 has been started. 
This helpline was helpful in providing health and treatment related information to Covid -19 patients and assistance to citizens struck in emergency situations. As many asthree lakh complaints were received on this helpline till Jan 2022.
In order to created the awareness about safety precautions to prevent the spread of Covid -19 pandemic, State Government organized 2949 ‘Drama Shows’ through Folk Media.In Addition , booklet ‘Home  Isolation’ was published for patients suffering from COVID, which contains the important telephone numbers for emergency situations as well as precautions and home remedies.
 The State Government accepted in the Guv address that due to Covid -19 in the last two years have been difficult for both students and teachers.  In order to continuing the academic activities uninterruptedly during the closure of educational institutions in the challenging time , arrangements for online education were made by the Government under the ‘Har Ghar Pathshala Programame’ . Based on the continuous evolution by the teachers through online mode, their achievements were shared with their parents through e-PTM.      
To meet the shortage of doctors in the state, during the current financial year ,870 seats of MBBS, 309 seats at postgraduate level in various specializations and 95 seats for MDS have been filled in various Government and private colleges. Angnwadi workers have also played a positive role in the fight against the Covid -19 pandemic. 
During the current financial year the state Government enhanced the honorarium of Anganwardi workers, Helpers and Mini-Anganwadi workers. In view of the invaluable contribution of ASHA workers in the Corna Pandemic in the state the additional monthly honorarium being given to them has been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 2750 per month from April 2021. 
State Government also claimed that it has complete the work of IGMC new OPD block with help of Rs 103.18 Cr and the construction of Atal Institute Medical Super Specialty Shimla to be completed by Mar 2022 at the estimated cost of RS 218.12 Cr and Trauma Centre Level -1 at IGMC and Level -2 at Dr RPGMC Tanda would be completed with help of Rs 38 Cr by june 2022. State Government also provided free health services in the remote areas under Ayushman Bharat Yojana golden cards have been issued to 4.25 lakh households and free medical assistance offered to 143.17 Cr has been provided to 1.23 lakh beneficiaries and under Himcare yojana 5.13 lakh households were issued health cards and Free medical facilities worth Rs 201 Cr were provided to 2.27 Lakh beneficiaries till Jan 2022. State was offering free health facilities in the 56 labs.
The Government has also provided assistance of Rs 61 Cr to 18218 patients suffering from serious diseases under the Sahara Yojna and apart from free chemotherapy sessions have also been organised for 4649 patients till December 2021.
