Cooperatives are easy option for agricultural economy: Sanjay Chauhan

Chairman of Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, Shri Sanjay Singh Chauhan inaugurated a main camp of important camp meetings on the occasion of celebrating International Cooperative Year in Dalash of Ani! On this occasion, about 150 important representatives of nearby cooperative societies and banks were present who duly provided information about the working style, benefits received and problems faced by the cooperative society in their respective areas! In the meeting, the General Manager of the bank, Raj Narayan Jamalta, talked about the beneficial loan scheme being run for farmers, gardeners and workers.

Detailed information was given about the schemes. On this occasion, Devi Singh Jistu, Director, Shimla Region of the Bank also highlighted the activities of the Bank. Sanjay Chauhan said on this occasion that the bank has currently decided to expedite the loan distribution under various schemes of the Government of India and the State Government for the farmers of the state. He said that as per the guidelines of the Honorable Chief Minister of the State Government, Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu ji, the bank is also considering bringing new loan schemes for women and youth. He said that the bank has decided to celebrate the financial year 2025-26 as the International Cooperative Year as well as the Loan Distribution Year so that easy loans can be provided to the farmers, gardeners and workers of the state at easy installments and simple interest rates. Sanjay Chauhan said in his address that the Honorable Chief Minister will provide a lump sum loan to those farmers who have not been able to deposit their loan installments on time in the past due to some reason.

A loan repayment scheme is being introduced under which 50% of the total interest on agricultural loans up to the value of Rs. 3 lakh is being waived. He appealed to the participants present to take advantage of Babak’s welfare loan schemes and also take advantage of the fixed deposit scheme.
