Contractor Ashish is not a public servant, he took contracts worth Rs 135 crore in 14 months: Sukhu

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Hamirpur’s independent former MLA Ashish Sharma is a contractor, not a public servant. He did work worth Rs 50 crore in the previous BJP government, while he took contracts worth Rs 135 crore in the 14-month Congress government. While being an MLA, he kept asking for tenders from me and told the people that the Chief Minister is not working. The independent former MLA is a greedy and arrogant person, his intentions are bad, that’s why he got sold to the BJP.

The Chief Minister said these things during the election campaign of Congress candidate Dr. Pushpinder Verma in Pandvi, Tal, Rohlvi Patta, Kala Amb, Nalti and Amroh of Hamirpur assembly constituency. Thakur Sukhwinder Singh said that the sold-out former MLA of Hamirpur was conspiring to topple the government since July last year. We have evidence of this, a case has been registered against him, Ashish Sharma was also the main mastermind in Operation Lotus. As the investigation progresses, many revelations will be made. Contractor Ashish has emptied the ravines of Hamirpur district, big stones are not visible at all. He is running two crushers under one name, he has nothing to do with the works of the public, he kept roaming around with files of setting up crushers and taking tenders, he did not find time to come to me with files of public works.

He said that the foundation stone of Hamirpur bus stand was laid during the tenure of former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, not even a single brick was laid in it during the previous Jairam government, our government has started its work rapidly after coming to power. We have opened the offices of Chief Engineer Electricity, Transport Appellate Authority and Pollution Control Board, renovated Gandhi Chowk and are beautifying Hamirpur city. The roads are being made double lane. We are working to make the district which is at the top in politics, also at the top in development. This district has given two Chief Ministers. Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal was the Chief Minister twice, he was also the declared Chief Minister for the third time, but he was defeated under a political conspiracy. The Congress high command made me the Chief Minister from lower Himachal for the first time in 75 years, that too from Hamirpur, but the three former MLAs of the district, greedy for power, did not like this. I did not leave any stone unturned in the work of Hamirpur, despite this the three sellable MLAs stabbed the people of Hamirpur and the Congress government in the back.

The Chief Minister said that Ashish Sharma resigned as part of a deal, he sat on a dharna because the second installment was to be received only after the resignation was accepted. The installment was received but he is not able to bring it to Himachal, we have sealed the border, the MLAs who sold it are having sleepless nights guarding it. His second briefcase full of notes will not be able to enter the state’s border. Even if the money is deposited in banks, the government will come to know immediately. The MLAs who sold their integrity to the BJP are not going to be spared now. If Ashish Sharma distributes money in the elections, take double the amount, because that money is yours, which he has earned through corruption. I am fighting a battle to end political evil, in this I need the support of the people of Himachal. It is necessary to end the dirty politics started by the BJP, so vote in favor of the Congress on July 10. Pushpinder Verma is our honest candidate. Send him to power and the fate and picture of Hamirpur will change. Our government is in power for three and a half years, whatever work Pushpinder tells us will be done.

Congress candidate Pushpinder Verma said that former independent MLA Ashish Sharma is contesting the MLA election again after resigning from the MLA post. He staged a drama of resigning. The selfish former MLA does not want a Chief Minister of Hamirpur district. The former MLA used to go to the Chief Minister for his many wrongdoings including tenders, crushers etc. But, the Chief Minister put a check on corruption, which hurt Ashish Sharma and he joined the conspiracy to topple the government with those people who had earlier conspired to defeat former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal. If the former MLA had to go with the BJP, he could have sat with them in the opposition without resigning. Why put the burden of elections on the public. These are imposters, do not fall into their trap. In Hamirpur, the slogan of only Chief Minister is going on, not Congress-BJP. Give me an opportunity, I will make Hamirpur’s development even better. The former MLA wants to establish political dominance on the basis of money, which the enlightened people of Hamirpur will not allow. Hamirpur should be with the CM so that all-round development can take place.

During this, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, MLA Suresh Kumar, Chandrashekhar, Captain Ranjit Singh, Vivek Sharma, KCC Bank Chairman Kuldeep Pathania, AICC Observer Rakesh Mishra, Rajkumar, NSUI State President Chhatar Singh, former District President Naresh Thakur, Panchayat Pradhan Madhu Bala, Vice-President Manjeet Thakur etc were present.
