To celebrate the victory in four assembly by-election seats of the state, Congress workers reached Oak Over in large numbers with drums and celebrated with Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Congress workers congratulated the Chief Minister on the victory in the by-election and praised his leadership. The Chief Minister said that the credit for the victory in the assembly by-election goes to the hard work of the Congress party workers. He said that with the blessings of the voters of the state and God, the Congress has increased its seats in the assembly by 4 and the seats of the Congress party have increased from 34 to 38. He said that in the coming three assembly elections also, the Congress party will perform better and win all the three seats. He said that now the workers have to move step by step and face the challenge of the BJP strongly. He said that the BJP was repeatedly claiming that the BJP government will be formed in Himachal Pradesh on June 4, but the public has rejected the politics of horse-trading and the public power has failed the BJP’s Operation Lotus. He said that the BJP should be asked how it will form the government in Himachal Pradesh now.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections were fought on different issues. But despite this, the Congress has given a tough fight to the BJP and the vote percentage of the Congress has increased by 14 percent this time compared to 2019. He said that in the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress got 27.53 percent in 2019, which has increased to 41.67 percent this time. Whereas the BJP got 69.71 percent votes in 2019, which has come down to 56.44. He said that the people of the state have approved the 14-month tenure of the state government and praised the policies. He said that the Congress party will reflect on the shortcomings in the Lok Sabha elections and improvements will be brought in the coming time.
