Congress will organize a candle march tomorrow on 14 August across the country
On the directions of All India Congress Committee, to protect the democracy of the country, Congress will organize a candle march tomorrow on 14 August across the country with the slogan ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’.
State Congress President and former MP Pratibha Singh has asked all the leaders and workers of the state Congress to participate in this candle march in large numbers to protect democracy in protest against the vote theft by the BJP in their respective districts. The presence of all the party leaders, former PCC, district and block officials, all the officials of leading organizations and departments, and all the Congress councilors of the Municipal Corporation has been ensured in this candle march.
Pratibha Singh has said that the country needs to be made aware of the way efforts are being made to weaken the country’s democracy, constitution and constitutional institutions. She has asked all the party leaders and workers to come forward to strengthen the hands of the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the interest of the country and to oust the corrupt central government from power. She has said that after Rahul Gandhi’s revelations of vote theft, the BJP is completely furious. She has said that under no circumstances can the Congress tolerate any kind of tampering with the country’s democracy, constitution and constitutional institutions and for this the Congress stands strongly with the people of the country.

In Shimla, this candle march will be organised under the leadership of State Congress President Pratibha Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri at 6.30 pm from Sher-e-Punjab Naz to the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the Ridge ground.
