Congress will form government in Himachal : Anand Sharma

Former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Anand Sharma today said that the central government should pay a compensation of Rs 4-4 lakh in accordance with National Disaster Act to Covid hit families across the country. 

 He said that he will campaign in the upcoming assembly elections to ensure the victory of the congress in Himachal. Sharma had reached at Basal village near here on Wednesday to inaugurate a community hall, constructed with MP lad fund.

  Earlier, Anand Sharma was given a warm welcome at the village.  Sharma inaugurated the community hall of Basal Panchayat.  Sharma had given 10 lakh rupees from the MP fund for this building. 

Addressing the gathering, he said that the Modi government at the Center is glorifying its own party instead of initiating public welfare schemes.  Today the country is troubled by unemployment and inflation.  The central government should make a minimum wage of four hundred rupees in MNREGA.

 Earlier, while talking to the media in Basal, Anand Sharma said that there will definitely a change in the upcoming assembly elections of Himachal and the Congress will form the government.  The BJP government of the state is a commercial government, in reality nothing has happened on the ground.  Attacking the central government, Sharma said that the children of many families which have been ruined by Covid, have become orphans, they should have got a compensation of Rs 4-4 lakh according to the Disaster Management Act, but the Modi government has given only Rs. 50-50 thousand relief amount.

 When Sharma was asked that he had come to Himachal during the election year, he said that Himachal is his home, he has not come for any tourism.  Regarding the face of the Chief Minister, Sharma only said that no comments.  MLA Col Dhaniram Shandil and leaders of Solan Congress were present on this occasion.  Earlier, Sharma also participated in a programme in Subathu of Kasauli constituency, on this occasion many Congress leaders of Subathu including State Congress General Secretary Vinod Sultanpuri were present.
