Congress is used to insulting women: Rashmi

BJP State Vice President Rashmidhar Sood said that Congress party is used to insulting women and its leaders keep making derogatory comments on women. He said that harassment of women by Congress leaders is an old trend. On Sunday, 31st March, while addressing a public meeting in favour of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sushil Gupta in Kurukshetra at village Faral in Kaithal district, Congress General Secretary Surjewala made a condemnable and indecent comment on senior BJP leader and Mathura MP Hema Malini, whose video is now going viral. In the rally, Surjewala said – Why do we make MLAs MPs? So that they can raise our voice, make us agree, that is why they are made. There is no Hema Malini, that we are made to lick them.” Even before this, Surjewala had described the people who voted for BJP as having demonic nature. The Bharatiya Janata Party completely denies this indecent statement and demands a public apology from the Congress leaders for this.

He said that on March 25, Congress’s social media head and spokesperson Supriya Shrinate commented against BJP candidate and famous actress Kangana Ranaut, calling her a bazaaru and compared Chhota Kashi to a market of women. Also, Karnataka Congress MLA Shamanur Shivashankarappa made a controversial comment on BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Davanagere seat, saying that she only knows how to cook in the kitchen. Delhi Police arrested Congress IT cell member Chirag Patnaik on charges of molesting a former colleague. However, he was later released on bail. Chirag is said to be very close to Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Chirag has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman working in the Congress’s social media cell. After a complaint was lodged with the police, two women members of the IT cell resigned from their posts.

Countless such cases are public but the Congress party does not take any steps to improve. The women power of the country will give a reply to such behaviour of the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
