Senior  Congress leader and former minister Thakur Ram Lal has said that soon the party’s candidates for all four Lok Sabha seats of the state will be declared in the Central Election Committee meeting. He said that Congress is completely united and will hoist the flag of victory on all four Lok Sabha seats of the state.

Today, in an informal conversation with the media at the state Congress office Rajiv Bhawan, Thakur Ram Lal said that at present the case of six rebel MLAs is pending in the Supreme Court of the country. He said, however, that the Election Commission has also announced elections in these six assembly constituencies. He said that only after the final decision comes from the court, anything can be said about the party candidates and elections in these six assembly constituencies. He said that Congress is fully prepared for these elections also.

Thakur Ram Lal, in response to a question being raised in the media about his candidature from Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, made it clear that he had already contested elections from this parliamentary constituency once before. He said that neither he had ever applied for a party ticket from this parliamentary constituency before nor he has applied for it now. He said that this decision is taken only by the party high command and CEC. He said that he is a true soldier of the party and he follows whatever orders he is given.

In reply to another question, Thakur Ram Lal said that due to the latest political developments in the state, the Congress high command has formed a six-member coordination committee in the state. He said that it has been formed for better coordination between the government and the organization. He said that no meeting of the committee has taken place yet. He said that its meeting will be held soon and important issues like establishing better coordination between the organization and the government will be discussed. He claimed that the Congress government in the state is completely strong and will complete its five-year term.
