Rajiv Shukla, member of All India Congress Working Committee, in-charge HP Cong unit said that the election of Shimla Municipal Corporation before the Vidhan Sabha elections is very important for the victory of the Congress. Presiding over the coordination committee meeting of Shimla Municipal Corporation elections today he said that since the state assembly elections are also going to be held at the end of this year, the Congress has to continue its winning streak as before. He said that whatever responsibility is given to him, he will have to fulfill it with complete honesty. Mr Shukla said that a big message of Congress’s victory in the by-elections in the state has gone to the entire country. After this victory, the country was seen as a public opinion against rising inflation and unemployment and for some time the rising inflation, diesel,  The prices of petrol and LPG cylinders had also come down. He said that now these prices should remain stable till the elections of five states, but now after that it is increasing every day and again the era of inflation in the country  started again. Shukla said that suggestions should be sought from the people to overcome their problems for these municipal elections. He said that unemployment is the biggest issue in Country today.  should also be taken up prominently. All India Congress Committee’s secretary, co-in-charge of state affairs, Tajendra Singh Bittu said that this election is a testing time for everyone and everyone has to be successful in them.  Earlier, welcoming all the members present in the meeting, including Shukla and Bittu, State Congress President Kuldeep Singh Rathore said that the Congress was fully prepared for the elections in the state. He said that out of the four municipal corporation elections before the by-elections, the Congress has won resounding victory in two municipal corporations, Solan and Palampur. Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri said during this that the Congress is united and will fight the elections with strength.
