Himachal congress state chief instructs NHAI to complete four lane projects soon
Congress MP Pratibha Singh has instructed the National Highways Authority of India to complete the construction of four-lane roads in the state soon. Presiding over the meeting of the Kiratpur to Manali four lane at Mandi National Highways Authority of India today, She has said that people are facing huge inconvenience due to under construction four lane. She said that mining should be done in road construction in such a way that it does not harm the natural environment. Presenting the progress report of construction of four lane road from , NHAI officials told that the work of various divisions of this road is going on on a war footing and 60 percent work is almost complete and it would be opened for vehicular movement. Singh also heard the problems of the four lane affected people. Instructing the officers to solve the problems of the affected people, she said that their problems should be seen and solved by going to their affected area. She assured the officers in the meeting to put the administrative and public problems facing the road construction in front of Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Deputy Commissioner Arindam Chowdhary, Amit Pal Singh, officers of construction companies associated with NHAI and SDMs of Mandi Sadar, Joginder Nagar, Sundernagar were also present in the meeting.
