The Congress legislators today lodged the protest on the issue of New Pension Scheme who trouped to the well of house as Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar did not permit them to raise adjournment motion in the question hours in the state assembly on today. As soon as the house assembled for the day proceeding in the question hours this morning Jagat Singh Negi tried to raise the issue.

They keep on insisting to raise the issue but the speaker asked them to take the question hours first stating that the matter is pending with him and it has been sent to the Government seeking the reply. When the Members did not allow to run the question hours, the speaker said that notice submitted to him on Mar 2 by Mr Jagat  Singh Negi, Mukesh Agnihotri, Asha Kumar, Ram Lal Thakur, Inderdutt Lakhanpal and others under rule 67 rejected by him. He said that under rule 110(7) of the state assembly any issue which was already listed in the house for discussion could  be disallowed by the speaker for discussion. He said that the issue of NPS is also raised by the Cong’s members Asha Kumario, Nandl Lal and Inderdutt Lakhanpal and others by raising the query have already received reply to be discussed in the house in the coming day of the session.

Agitating on the rejection of their adjournment motion all the members of Congress including CPI(M)’s Rakesh Singha trouped onthe well of house and started raising the slogan. In the middle of the question hours they walked out from the house raising slogans against the government. Codemening the walkout lodged by Congress Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said it became a ritual to lodge frequent  walkouts from the house. ” It is their right to protest but it is also their duty to transact business” CM said. The leader of opposition Mukesh Agnihotrui seemed to have lost control over his legislative party as it was not united on the issues and LOP took assistance of CPM leader Rakesh Singha to lodge the protest, he added. Rebutting over the previous Virbhadra Singh Govt CM said he is not among today but who implemented NPS not a hidden fact. We made it clear that there is no need for agitation, just raise this issue with the government, rest they should leave it with the government. Mr Thakur accused Cong members of instigating the protest. They have announced to restore the old pension scheme in Rajasthan but keeping with the economy of the state now it is big question how to implement it. State is already sensitive on the issue and has constituted a panel led by the Chief Secretary keeping the circumstances the issue would be decided by the government. The state implemented a pay commission recently and the issue of NPS would be resolved. However he warned the opposition not to give political twist to this issue on which the Government already is in contemplation stage. He accused the Congress of raising the Old pension scheme issue in wake of  upcoming assembly election and regaining power but they would not succeed. To join the CPI(M) in the protest in the house on the issue, CM said that Congress pushed to the brink of outsourcing its leadership to other parties. In another jib taken on the vehement protest by Mr Singha in the house on the NPS Mahinder Singh Thakur commented that Congress seems to have another vibrant leadership of Mr Singha who became another face of CM race in the state competing with the number of other CM faces.
