Cong expell eight party workers for antiparty activity 

State unit of Congress expelled  eight party leaders who are involved in campaigning and anti-party activities against Congress candidates in Himachal. In a press release issued here today Congress state president Pratibha Singh has expelled these leaders for six years from the party. These include Vice President of Ani Block Congress Committee Kailash Sharma, General Secretary of District Congress Committee Kullu Lok Raj Thakur, Sher Singh Thakur and Vijay Kawar, Pankaj Kumar from Ani, Abhishek Bharwalia from Shimla Urban, Secretary of State Congress Committee Sunil Kumar and Jaswan Paragpur from Sulah. Mukesh Kumar. Earlier, the party had expelled six rebels who fought against the candidates for 6 years. In the coming days, the party may take disciplinary action against many leaders campaigning against the party candidates. The Congress had earlier expelled six leaders who had revolted against the party with immediate effect. These include former Assembly Speaker Gangu Ram Musafir from Pachhad assembly constituency, Jagjivan Pal, former MLA from Sulah, Dr Subhash Mangalet, former MLA from Chaupal, Vijay Pal Khachi from Theog, Paras Ram from Ani and Sushil Kaul from Jaisingpur. After the approval of All India Congress Working Committee member and in-charge of state affairs, Rajeev Shukla, state president Pratibha Singh expelled him for six years. They are accused of disobeying the orders of the party. The said leaders are contesting independent elections in their respective constituencies. The top leadership of the Congress party tried to persuade them, but due to not getting the ticket, the angry leaders did not agree and revolted against the party candidates.
