College students spread colours on the foundation day of NSS

 The foundation day of the National Service Scheme (NSS) was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Degree College, Rajgarh. College Principal Dr. Rajendra Verma attended the event as the chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the core objectives of the NSS and the role of youth, inspiring students to engage in social service. He praised the contributions of all volunteers and said that the NSS motto, “Not me, but you,” inspires every youth to selfless service.
The program started with a Rangoli competition, in which Jaskar Group got first place, Shivalik Group got second place and Dhauladhar Group got third place. After this, in the poster making competition, Sanchita, a student of BA second year, got first place, Anjana of BA first year got second place and Sanjana of BSc final year got third place. The debate competition was also the center of attraction in the program, in which Suhani got first place, Sapna got second place and Mehak got third place.
On this occasion, the students presented a cultural program that was a great success. Akshit’s melodious singing and the Punjabi dance of the college girls captivated the audience, while Aditya’s humorous presentation brought laughter to everyone. Additionally, Sushan and Payal’s cultural dance performances added to the grandeur of the event.
The program concluded with a cultural group dance performance, which brought a festive atmosphere to the event. At the closing ceremony, NSS Unit President Mehak Sharma expressed her gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and spectators present.
Program Officer Dr. Pankaj Sharma inspired students to engage in social service and detailed the various activities organized by the National Service Scheme of Rajgarh College throughout the year. All faculty members of the college were present during the program.
