CM will inaugurate the new building of Degree College Chail Koti
After a long gap of about 10 years, Government Degree College Chail Koti will get its own grand building. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will inaugurate this new grand building of the college on 25 November. Along with him, Education Minister Rohit Thakur and local MLA and Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Aniruddh Singh will also be present as special guests. An amount of 21.5 crores has been spent on the construction of this building. After becoming the CM, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is coming to visit the Junga area for the first time and will give a gift of about 24 crores to the people of Kasupanti area.
Apart from this, the CM will also inaugurate the science block built at the Government Senior Secondary School Koti at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore. This has been confirmed by Assistant Engineer Public Works Department Junga Devesh Thakur. The Public Works Department and the college administration have started preparations to welcome the CM.
He said that in the new building of the college, administrative building, science block, art block, library, computer lab, playground and other facilities will be available. He said that road has also been constructed till the college campus. With the construction of this building, children of 12 panchayats of Junga area will get the facility to receive education in a better environment. Let us tell you that for the last 10 years, Government Degree College is running in the primary school building.
It is worth noting that the foundation stone of this building was laid by former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on May 17, 2015. After this, the construction work of this building remained in limbo after the BJP government came to power in the state in the year 2017. As soon as the present government was formed, the construction work of this college is being done on a war footing and it is being dedicated to the public.
