CM Sukhu condemns Pahalgam terrorists attack
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has condemned the attack on tourists at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday by terrorists in which many tourists were killed and injured.
Terming it a cowardly act, the Chief Minister said that such incidents were not acceptable in the civilized society and anti social elements must be curbed at all costs. He said that, “Our hearts go out to the victims and their families during this incredibly painful time. We stand in unwavering solidarity with the families of the victims and with all those affected by this barbaric act.
Sh. Sukhu has prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss. He wished speedy recovery to the injured.
State Congress President and former MP Pratibha Singh has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. She expressed deep sorrow for the people killed in this attack and expressed her condolences to the bereaved families and also wished for the speedy recovery of all those injured in the attack.
Pratibha Singh has said that the terrorists have targeted people who had gone to enjoy and roam the valleys of Jammu and Kashmir. She has said that none of the terrorists involved in this attack,
Separatists should not be spared at any cost. The terrorists have committed such a cowardly act that the whole country is in mourning today. He said that any kind of separatist thinking or incident cannot be accepted at any level in the country. Strict security measures should be taken to prevent such incidents in future.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam in which 28 innocent tourists lost their lives and many sustained injuries.
He described the incident as heart-wrenching and said that such cowardly acts are not only inhuman but also an attack on the basic spirit of civilized society. He said such incidents cannot be tolerated under any circumstances and strict action should be taken against those who spread terror.
“We all stand with the families of the victims in this hour of distress and my heartfelt condolences are with the bereaved families. I pray to God to give peace to the departed souls and strength to their families to bear this irreparable loss”, said Mukesh Agnihotri.
BJP President Dr Rajiv Bindal said that Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemns the barbaric and cowardly attack by cross-border sponsored terrorists on innocent civilians in Pahalgam.
Bindal said that we pay our tribute to the innocent citizens of the country who lost their lives in this heinous attack and express our deepest condolences to their families. The Bharatiya Janata Party stands with them. As a representative of the BJP, we assure them that the culprits will not be spared at any cost, we will finish them off. We will not let the sacrifice of our innocent citizens go in vain. The terrorists and those who support them will be held accountable for every drop of blood that flowed from their bodies.
Bindal said that ever since the Narendra Modi government has come to power at the Centre, whenever the enemies have challenged us as a nation, we have united and given them a strong and befitting reply. Whenever terrorists have attacked peace, humanity and development, shed the blood of innocent citizens, we have made them realise India’s power, punished them for their deeds. In the last 10 years, we have dealt a strong blow to the root of terrorism. Their funding network has been destroyed, due to which peace returned to the valley after a long time, elections were held, citizens expressed their faith in India’s democracy, India’s Constitution and India’s government. Enraged by this, the enemies of the country have committed a cowardly act. This time the enemies of the country will get a stronger reply than before. Where to give a reply, how to give a reply, how to give a reply – this will be decided by the Government of India. No one should have even the slightest doubt about this. We will get a reply, a strong reply.
He said that today the whole world is standing with India and against terrorism. All the big leaders of the world are standing with India and against terrorism. Today terrorism means terrorism – there is no good terrorism or bad terrorism. Pakistan is isolated across the world today. We have also curbed terror funding. This is the diplomacy of the Modi government. The Narendra Modi government has a strong track record of strong actions against terrorism. We will end the terrorism sponsored from across the border.
