CM came to tragedy affected area after 9 days but left after announcing only one Crore : Jairam

BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur while addressing a press conference said that the Congress government of the state is not sensitive and serious about the Mandi disaster. Jairam put the state government in the dock and said that the executive engineer who was doing good work on the ground was transferred under the pressure of some leaders, till now no senior officer has been appointed by the state government in Mandi district. We would like to say straight away that wherever the disaster and tragedy occurred, all those areas were left in the hands of Patwaris. He said that the Chief Minister came to the tragedy affected areas after 9 days but left after announcing only one crore rupees but the loss was of 500 crores. The question arises that why till now the Chief Minister, who talks big, has not announced a special package? In the special package of the state, he announces 7 lakhs for a damaged house, out of which the state has to pay only 4 lakhs and the center pays 3 lakhs, but no notification has been issued for this till now, the Chief Minister should explain the reason for this.

He said that in the name of immediate relief, the people suffering from crisis have been made fun of. Till now only Rs. 2500 has been given which is almost negligible. Social organizations and Bharatiya Janata Party have already given more help than this. Service money and goods worth more than Rs. 7 crore have been given by the party and social organizations.

The tragedy has happened in Jairam Thakur’s area, hence the government is not helping, the government is talking about shifting the office from Mandi

The Leader of the Opposition raised questions on the government and said that

The tragedy has happened in Jairam Thakur’s area, so the government is not helping. Recently I got a call from the Panchayati Raj Minister and he said that the Panchayati Raj Institute should be shifted to Mandi. We claim that this institute has not been harmed in the tragedy till date, so what was the need to shift it? Similarly, the Horticulture College for which our government had allocated Rs 10 crore and forest clearance was also done, this college was to be established at a height of 7000 feet and if this building had been built, today many people could have been given shelter in it, but the Chief Minister called back the amount allocated for this.

Jairam Thakur said that we would like to ask the government that if many areas of Shimla are damaged due to heavy rains, will you change the capital of the state?

The government is busy counting JCBs

Jairam Thakur said that you give the land and build a community building on it, this is the need of the hour. Similarly, along with this building, community toilets and kitchens are also needed. Schools have opened and people living in schools are also being sent from there. These are difficult circumstances. But the government is not sending relief machinery, like JCB Poklane. But this government is counting how many JCBs are working in these areas.

Jairam gave advice to the Chief Minister

During the press conference, Jai Ram Thakur said that the Chief Minister does not need to take political mileage at the time of tragedy. The CM had said that Jai Ram Thakur should sit in Mandi for 10 days but I would like to tell him that I have been in Mandi for 20 days. We have spent a large part of our lives to build this assembly constituency and understand the pain of the devastation here. Commenting on Jagat Singh Negi, Jai Ram Thakur said that all the statements given by the Revenue Minister are irresponsible. This minister has neither expressed any concern about the area nor talked about this area, he left the tragedy-affected area to its own fate, the Chief Minister should take strict action against this minister.
