Chintapurni Mahotsav will give new direction to religious-cultural tourism in Himachal

The sacred land of Himachal, where devotion and faith resonate in every particle, is set to witness a new tradition. The Himachal Government has announced the ‘Mata Shri Chintapurni Mahotsav’ to bring the purity and spirituality of this divine land to the public and elevate religious-cultural tourism in the state. Scheduled to take place in Amb, Una district from 14th to 16th September, this festival will be more than just a celebration; it will be a hub of faith, culture, and prosperity.

Mata Shri Chintapurni ji, who has been addressing the concerns of her devotees since ancient times, will now offer a unique experience through this festival. Over three days, attendees will enjoy a unique blend of religion, culture, and entertainment, creating unforgettable memories. This event aims to showcase Himachal’s religious and cultural richness on a global stage and boost the state’s economy.

Starting with a Procession on 14th September The festival will kick off on 14th September with a grand procession from Mata Shri Chintapurni Temple to the SDM office in Amb. This procession promises to be a divine experience, filled with the grace of the Mother and the fervor of faith.

Cultural Evenings & Sports Competitions The festival will feature cultural evenings, sports competitions, and various activities that highlight Himachal’s rich cultural heritage. Artist auditions will be held at Amb College from 2nd to 4th September, allowing talented local artists to showcase their skills. Exhibition stalls by various departments will display government plans and achievements. The fairgrounds will include a mango market, swings for children’s entertainment, and other charming decorations.

Commemorating the Festival A special souvenir will be released to immortalize the festival’s memories. This publication will include articles on the history of Mata Shri Chintapurni Temple and the rich traditions and literary heritage of Una district. Vision of the CM and Deputy CM Chief Minister Shri Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, who also oversees the Ministry of Language, Arts, and Culture, are committed to realizing the vision of ‘Mata Shri Chintapurni Mahotsav’. Their efforts aim to elevate religious and cultural tourism in the state and enhance Himachal’s cultural heritage. The state government is investing around 250 crore rupees in the beautification of Mata Shri Chintapurni Temple, enhancing the grandeur of this sacred site.

A Milestone in Religious and Cultural Tourism The district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, is fully prepared to bring the vision of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to life. The entire administrative team is dedicated to ensuring the festival’s success, making it a milestone in the field of religious and cultural tourism in the state.
